Received the toilet version first, had no intention of using anything potentially for human consumption in my dishwasher, although it may or may not give the same result different labels. I asked for the correct product to be replaced, received the correct one a second time, and attached it to a stainless steel dishwasher door. After using the dishwasher with it for the first time the next day, I found a preventer in the second basket that will NOT stick to your dishwasher door, at least not in dishwashers that don't use heating elements to dry dishes. I then attached it to the top right post and you have to make sure it's held in there really lightly or it will move due to the water pressure. Unfortunately, while it sticks on my shelf in terms of efficiency, like other products we've tried so far, it has NOT helped with stains on plastic items and hasn't helped dry plastic items like storage containers, food, and blender bottles any better, BUT it did seems to really help dry out my dishwasher, the stainless steel door always looks pretty dry and clean before condensing. So I'll buy it back in 6 months. As for the other non-plastic plates, we haven't had any staining or drying issues so I don't know if that will help them or not, but given how my dishwasher door looks now it probably helps, which I' will find out later. after a few weeks when the dishwasher has run out of rinse aid.
