I bought these to decorate a craft and tested them on the plastic cap first (on a body butter pack) to make sure they would stick well enough to use. For the most part they held up well, but I noticed one or two would fall off every time I opened the lid of the jar. I ended up just removing them but thought they would be great for my project. I found it easy to detach them from the plastic backing by gently tipping them with pliers to remove them and then placing them in place. When I tried to remove them with just my fingers, sometimes the sticky part stuck to the plastic wrap and the stone remained sticky-free. If the item you are attaching the jewelry to gets a lot of touching and pulling I probably wouldn't buy it, but if you use it for decorative purposes, postcards or paper crafts it should work perfectly! Each color receives a variety of three sizes (small, medium, and large of each color), with more of each size on each sheet.
