Review on PHROZEN Aqua Gray: Unbreakable UV Curing Photopolymer for Resilient Prints by Drexel Wortham

Revainrating 3 out of 5

DO NOT BUY THIS FOR DETAILED MINIATURES

PRO: - Prints SUPER fast - Solid parts have good weight - Not brittle when properly post-cured (1-3 minutes in water) - Inexpensive CONS: - Very poor for detailed models - Or weak for light hold or hold - Smell strong compared to competitors - More viscous than competitors - Slightly more expensive than the competitors fast resin This resin is great in a way and prints REALLY fast, stupid fast I'd say. I have found that the ideal exposure time for capturing detail on my Creality resin printer (LD-002R) is around 3 seconds. It's insanely fast and the details will be perfect. But all supported models will fail at this exposure time. Especially pre-supported models that you can easily find on Patreon. This has also caused problems with models printed in multiple parts, as overexposure (to avoid crashes) causes them to mismatch. Screens, it's a great resin. However, if you need small details on models, this resin is not for you. Instead, I would go for the fast resin of the competition. It's cheaper, has less odor, and is highly recommended by many. I pretty much decide to use this to print simple bases for models. They require no support and no detail is lost due to the low exposure.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
