Review on Lundmark Self Polishing Floor Wax, All-Wax Formula, 1-Gallon Size, Model 3201G01-2 by Kristine Black

Arrived on time and no leaks. I recently moved in and this is the first time I have had (real) wood floors. They really are quite pretty but I wanted to find a product that would do 2 things: 1) add a nice shine to my hardwood floors 2) we have 2 dogs and they have had a hard time dealing with our recent transition from carpet to wood floors. So I searched the internet for a product that would add a bit of support or hold to wooden floors as well. PLEASE NOTE when I say craving - I mean non-sticky residue. After receiving the product and reading the instructions, I still had a few questions (I'm a beginner, mind you) about the application process, such as: which applicator is the best and how to apply the product. So I called Lundmark direct and spoke to a very knowledgeable and friendly gentleman. He suggested the following: 1. After thorough vacuuming or sweeping, wash floors with hot soapy water and let dry. He also urged me to give another round of VINEGAR and HOT WATER (I mixed 50/50) a wipe to remove any detergent or soap residue that might have lingered. 2) Before proceeding, allow the floors to dry completely. 3) Once dry, apply a long "S" directly to the bottom using a 100% sheepskin applicator (I used the & More 100% Pure Sheepskin 10" Applicator to gently sweep the product in the direction of the wood grain Spread without trying to do more than 2 passes on the same area I have to admit I wasn't very good at it Some areas got 3-4 passes but it worked well 4) He recommended at least 2 applications if more he wishes. However, it is necessary for floors to dry AT LEAST 30 minutes between coats. A few tips I would have liked beforehand: - I applied 3 coats, giving at least 1 hour and at most overnight (for some other rooms) drying time between coats. My husband didn't notice the floors were dry and our German shepherd passed 15 minutes after applying the second coat. Miraculously, no traces remained between the layers. Unscrew the sheepskin applicator from the long handle and remove generously in the saran or aluminum foil and place in the freezer. This will keep it from drying out and when you want to use it again, take it out of the freezer 10 minutes before the next layer. I left mine in the freezer overnight and waited about 20 minutes and it worked like magic! - When finished, wash the applicator thoroughly with soapy water and set out of direct sunlight to dry. I took a picture AFTER. The next day I took a BEFORE shot at the same time to ensure a fair comparison. It's been a few months and I'm still very happy with the result. There is no yellowing or discoloration and it really gives our dogs extra traction. Plus, NO STICKY RESIDUES! After my initial research, I found that there are some products that claim to leave no residue but reviewers say they do(?). In any case, I am very satisfied with the Lundmark anti-slip floor wax.
