Last weekend I was bringing my Honda VTX 1300 out of winter storage and putting in new spark plugs when I discovered that the threads on one of the spark plug holes had been stripped and I was able to get the new fork screw in no more than 2 turns before it sticks. I wasn't sure what to do so naturally I went to YouTube University to see if anyone else had had this experience. I found a video posted by a man with the same problem using this tool to successfully fix his bike. I immediately went to Revain to buy it but was a bit intimidated by some of the negative reviews from people. I certainly didn't want to make the problem worse, but I also didn't want the hassle and expense of taking the bike to the dealer for repairs. Decided to try this tool. Today it came and I went to work. I followed the instructions and did everything very slowly. I kept the tension low on the first pass and then tightened it a bit with each pass. When the tool hung, I backed it off a turn or two, then reduced the tension and started again. After 5 or 6 passes I was able to manually insert the spark plug all the way and then tighten it with a ratchet. It took some patience but worked like a champ for me. Saved me a trip to the dealer and a hefty repair bill.
