I don't like these things but I'm sticking with them

I don't like these things but I'm sticking with them. The Torklift frame mounts are very strong, but they have a few issues. Spring compression kits set to factory specs can come loose if you hit a big bump, and once the bottom end comes loose they fall off and are lost. This has happened to me twice, once when I unexpectedly drove into a speed bump and another time when my rear wheel exploded at 70 mph. I found the first, and the second flew into the weeds in the middle. A simple *8* lock might have prevented this, but the factory doesn't seem interested. They would rather sell you a replacement at a very high price. I received a set of free replacement parts when I first installed the bindings. Only used 2 times, two were hard, one was completely frozen, I had to cut it off. Get some anti-seize to treat that section of thread and you'll be fine. They have to provide it, but they have no interest in it either. Oh, and another thing I'm having trouble with is the clips that hold the inserts in place. Lost two of these too: once when the camper wasn't on the truck, the pin somehow got loose and fell out, and the other time when a tire blew out. But if you read spring kit reviews, you've probably already discovered all this the hard way, like I did.

Cons
  • Very expensive
