I bought this lamp for a side table in the living room but it doesn't give enough light for reading. I tried different types of lamps: LED, halogen, 60W incandescent, but the colors and style of the lamp (Dragonfly 18") are such that unfortunately the light was not enough - I could not see very well, to read with it.. but it will work perfectly as a bedside lamp in the master bedroom and i love it even more, there the colors are very nice and the lamp is very well made, this is real glass, some say it doesn't look like it, but melting the materials used between broken glass deadens the sound you would expect when you tap on broken glass. The company even sent a small bag of glass samples to show the customer that it was real glass. These lamps are very beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised at the weight and quality of these lamps - I also bought a hummingbird style pendant lamp, I will be taking more.
