I've used it to cut pork loin and roast beef to make jerky. That works great. This is my first meat grinder, so for me the blade rotates much slower than I expected (I expected the saw blade to move quickly). However, this lower speed prevents splashing and offers much more control. Disassembly is easy, no special tools are required (you can use a coin to remove the blade). The shelf that supports the meat slides easily from side to side and cleaning is easy. The included clear plastic safety rail isn't great as I often eat meat to reach the shelf for a long time and when you get to the bottom the blade lifts the meat between the blade and the rail (though admittedly I didn't). a better idea than this thing). I use my hands almost to the end and hand trim the last 3-4 inches. I recommend using a pair of cut-resistant gloves to do this. Looking at how this thing slices meat, I can imagine my fingertips can handle it.
