Worse than a $2 gauge

I bought this because I had reason to believe my current gauge was very similar to the Rhino. But Rhino is ANSI Grade B40.1 certified and my current one is not. I ride motorbikes, from day trips to 5 day trips. I carefully monitor my atmospheric pressure as my life depends on it. I also do a lot of off-road riding where I inflate my tires before hitting the road and of course inflate them again when I'm done. I'll be driving to very remote areas for a week at a time, a puncture from improper air pressure could cause me serious problems. So I needed a good pressure gauge I could rely on. I received my pressure gauge today and tested it right away. I've tested my motorcycle tires and my truck tires at both regular pressure and reduced pressure to my off-road level, which is 15-18psi. I used known sensors to compare the results. What I noticed right away is that the reading drops 1-3 psi when I take it off the tire bar. Uhh, none of my other sensors do this. Not good! So to get an accurate reading I have to hold it on the pole until I can read it. next problem. When I tried to read my low off-road pressure, the reading didn't hold at all, it quickly dropped to zero. IT IS TERRIBLE! I can not. Again, none of my current sensors do this. Including my two dollar dipstick. All of this makes me wonder how accurate the readings I got were. A sensor that I can't trust is useless to me. I'll be back. Incidentally, my $2 gauge that I have with me as a backup has always been within 2psi of the Rhino gauge.
