The "upgraded" version of this mudflap is little more than Chemical Guys' use of a patented design to entice consumers to buy the special Chemical Guys buckets that they sell for an outrageous $15+. When trying to use these "upgraded" cyclone traps on standard 5 gallon buckets, I found that the base was too narrow for a proper fit. When water fills the standard 5 gallon buckets, the slightly tilted and loose mudflaps will break their seal and loosen, rendering them functionally useless. I would advise you to buy an older version of this mudflap that is sold for the same price. much better rated and works well with many competitor's 5 gallon pails. For this reason, and because the additional products that this item can work with are limited due to its new features, I'm rating the Cyclone Dirt Trap 3 stars.
