Excellent fins. As mentioned above, they are as hard as you can make them. Russian tank under the fins. I used and abused them on countless sailing and diving trips for three months. Mostly confined open water (pool) and about a dozen dives. I tend to have calf cramps and don't like scissor punches. I almost always do frog kicks. To avoid cramps and more efficiency. Frog kicks and slides are great for controlling air and preventing fatigue. That's where these fins come in. They are stiffer, making them great for frog kicks. Also, her side profile is pretty wide, which is great for directional control and, guess what, frog kicks. Did I mention frog kicks? If you're a fan of frog kicks, these are the fins you need! The scissors in those fins are instantly tiring, I think they're too hard for that, but maybe I'm just weak. she walked (as far as one can go with fins) on stones, sand and rather rough surfaces. I've flexed them badly, dragged them through sand and mud getting in and out, and they still look brand new. These guys are made for abuse, but they look pretty stylish. I didn't buy them for looks but if you need to be recognized in a group of divers these fins will stand out if most of your clothing is black neoprene. I like the big leg pocket. (I'm a large size, my shoe size is usually 10-1/2 wide) that can accommodate neoprene socks or ankle boots. They are a bit loose on bare feet and I wouldn't recommend wearing fins, at least not without neoprene socks. So it's great to have room for other shoes. The heel straps are too long for my liking and size, but that's ok. I think it would be possible to cut off the excess. I won't because maybe a new boot or something else might force me to cover the heel later. The heel straps tend to move down if the foot is too loose, never to the point where I've lost my fins, but I've felt compelled to adjust a few times while diving and snorkeling. Foot comfort is really good. There has never been a point of pressure or friction that caused problems. One point to consider is the positive fear of these fins. Great if you ever lose any of these they will float to the surface so you can easily find them later. You have to keep that in mind when diving. This can be in your favor or against you depending on your diving style. For efficient and slow diving in weak currents or drifts, fins are ideal for smooth body position control. With quick response and strong current, softer fins, possibly shorter ones, will likely perform better. In short: stiff fins ideal for frog kicking and fighting with confidence on your feet, with a leg pocket suitable for wearing booties or even boots. Head down, fins up. don't forget to breathe.😁
