Actually it was a hit. As he gets older, he'll get books, science kits, and creative yin-yang toys, but I was determined not to just get him some brightly colored, noisy thing for Christmas. I was very happy to find blocks big enough for a one year old to be safe and really something for him to grow up with as they are 1-5 year olds. There's enough in the kit to make the giraffe pictured on the box (his dad is a big baby and he had to find out about it straight away so dad and grandpa had fun after the nephew fell asleep.
