Does exactly what I needed - replaces my laptop's original Bose speaker cable. They plug straight into my audio jack (the same jack I plug my headphones into). Now no buzz, no buzz. Simply pure, powerful sound. Having purchased a number of monster cables over the years I feel that the high quality of their products is well worth the high price tag. And it was a lot cheaper than the other option I was considering, which was replacing the speakers yourself. But the speakers are great, only the cable is annoying.
