Review on 🔧 CURT 17131 Weight Distribution Hitch Shank, 2.5-Inch Receiver, 2-Inch Drop, 6-Inch Rise - Replacement by Russell Rabbach

I upgraded my truck receiver from a 2" receiver to a Class 5 Curt 2.5" receiver. I needed a new stock for my weight distribution system to tow our camper. I bought a socket adapter but wasn't happy with the amount of goo and hoped this would fix the situation. This was a huge improvement. The stock fits 2.5" receivers. The area where the weight distribution studs attach is 2" wide. I wish the Curts specs had this, I had to search to verify before ordering. The weight distribution system was unscrewed from my 2" shank and bolted straight onto this new 2.5" shank. The price was better than anywhere else on the web. The shank is stiff. The only downside. And that's not a deciding factor. I can't lower the tailgate of my truck with an RV attached because my weight distribution system is so close to the truck and the stock is short compared to my previous stock.
