An excellent product for the price. I didn't have high expectations for the $129 8-camera system. The ability to install your own hard drive helps reduce costs. 65 feet of cable per camera is enough for most areas of my home. I had to add a cable for multiple cameras on the other end. I recommend buying longer cables as cutting, stripping and soldering small wires was a tedious task. Their tech support has its pros and cons. There is no phone number to call, just an email. While they reply to emails quickly, the quick replies come during their regular business hours, which is the opposite of regular business hours in the US since they appear to be on the other side of the planet. However, I had an issue with some flickering channels on a unit I bought from Revain. The support reacted quickly. They asked a few questions, took pictures of the problem, and immediately sent me a new unit without having to ship the old one back. I had to reinstall and reformat the hard drive, which was quite a hassle, but since then (several weeks) the system has been working fine. During the day the cameras are very clear. Night vision is ok. It achieves night vision in excess of 60 feet, but clarity is typically just the circular center where the infrared light shines. Other closer obstacles that the light can hit and bounce off will reduce this distance. The app is fuzzy at best, but has been working well lately. Just don't get your hopes up too high other than checking a camera or two from home for a few seconds. System playback is very good, although it takes a little while to find what I really need. There might be a better way to find the footage, so I still have to play around a bit. Overall, I'm happy with the system (and the price) and would recommend it.
