I am very happy with Merrell's Jungle Loafers and other styles BUT this style is clearly uncomfortable. There is no tongue and the opening is limited making it very difficult to get in. Because there is no tongue, trying to tighten them with shoelaces forces the material to flex under itself, creating protrusions that immediately cause discomfort. Merrell, your loafers are pretty comfortable, and your lace-ups are generally comfortable. Why produce shoes that are built like slip-ons (no tongue) but require laces to be tightened for a snug fit, which then makes them so uncomfortable? I think you dropped the ball on those shoes.
