I originally bought this for myself to help with my post workout recovery. I also wanted something that would effectively hydrate me, help burn fat, and contain NO stimulants. This one seemed to fit the bill, with one caveat for me. There's L-carnitine, which helps burn fat, and amino acids, which aid in muscle recovery. Earlier this year, I discovered that taking more of these amino acids not only helped me recover from a workout, but somehow helped me become more natural and flexible! I'm not exactly sure why or how it works, but it works. I'm a mom in my 40's and need to lose some weight and am more flexible than when I was 20 and really fit and lean (was 110 pounds of muscle at 5ft 4 by 5ft 4). at this time I regularly exercise at 4:30 a.m. etc.). I don't even train that hard - I only do light weight training and mostly cardio, so it's not like I'm pushing that hard. (I'm just trying to scale down the activity while I can). The only thing that seems to have helped my flexibility in any way lately are these types of amino acids along with curcumin supplements. Who knew?! I wish I had known that decades ago! Anyway, this supplement seems to work for me, so that's a big plus. to get it to the point that I can drink the stuff so it's a little hard to dissolve. This is a bit annoying, but still doable. The taste of tropical grapes is extremely sweet to me. I seriously have to dilute it so I can take it because it's too much for me. Again, I eat clean and don't use a lot of sugar or artificial sweeteners, according to YMMV. The taste isn't bad, just a bit too much for me personally. If you're used to sweet flavors like Crystal Light and the like, it probably won't make much of a difference to you. added to other additives (within reason). Overall, this supplement works well and appears to be of high quality. BUT, there is one caveat for me. There are times when I get nauseous (for a short period of like half an hour or so) and I'm not entirely sure why that's happening. Maybe sweeteners? I don't know what ingredient does this, but it's enough to make me hesitant to take it at times. It doesn't happen every time and it's not serious enough to make me throw up. But unfortunately it's annoying/inconvenient enough for me that I can stop taking it because I don't like feeling it, even though it's a relatively short time. I asked my husband to start taking it to see if it works for him too and he had no problems with it or anything. So. I guess that means I might be a little touchy about something regarding this and YMMV. This is an extreme disappointment because overall I like most things about this supplement. Since my husband had no problem with that, I don't think it's fair to shoot a bunch of stars for this as everyone is different. But be aware that nausea is possible if you are sensitive to certain ingredients. Plus, it's a decent supplement that actually works.
