I have installed these in a Chevrolet Aveo and Suzuki Forenza (both cars use the same spark plugs) in order for them to work you need to split them properly (just like ANY other spark plug with a single ground electrode). There are NO spark plugs of this type that come standard with a gap. 1.- Noticeable improvement at launch - fast, without hesitation. 2.- Increased Power - At 8,000 feet an improvement in torque is easy to see and it was noticeable. I wasn't expecting MPG improvement so I wasn't concerned. It hasn't gone bad, my wallet says the MPG is no better, but engine response is worth the change. For your information. The original Aveo plugs ran 3500 miles, the original Forenza plugs ran 20000. They were new for convenience.
