Just because your TV is Philips doesn't mean it will work automatically.
My TV was the same model as his but most of the buttons didn't work for my TV. Power button, channel and volume worked but I can't access my main menu, it takes me to the demo and when I enter it it keeps kicking me out. Maybe I'll take a look at it again if there's a real guide out there showing you how to format the remote for your particular TV.
