I bought this with hesitation because the last Uniden I bought never worked (too much noise to hear anyone!) but since the previous phone was a cheap model was, I hoped for the best. NO! Even the base unit was filled with static electricity even 20 feet from the base! When I returned it the clerk mentioned that her last Uniden didn't work either - too much interference and she couldn't even make calls with it so she threw it away. Uniden used to be great, but not anymore.
