Just one phone and poor range

Other reviewers are right, range is very poor, lots of interference. Also, only one handset can be used at a time, limiting the usefulness of using multiple handsets. Calls can be transferred from one phone to another, but you cannot use more than one phone to talk at a time. This phone was cheap for a reason and doesn't do the Uniden name any favors.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Should have researched beforehand!

I bought this phone actually DXA/5688-3 from Target for about $70. Tried a week and everything comes back. The reception was terrible. Even at 25 feet away, it gets fuzzy. I should have known better. My last phone, Panasonic, was great. Battery changed 3 times in 5 years. Decided it was time for an update. I will be returning this and upgrading to the KX-TG1033. I should have picked Panasonic from the start.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive

Should be zero stars.

I wish the reviews had been posted here before I bought mine. They were super discounted at the stone store so I should have known better. Worst reception of any cordless phone I've owned in the last 20 years. You can't reach rooms that are about 30 feet away, ON THE SAME FLOOR, only with SHYPROCK WALLS and no interfering devices. Unless you live in a studio (in which case you need 3 tubes) they won't work for you. .

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good

Don't worry: Landline

I bought this with hesitation because the last Uniden I bought never worked (too much noise to hear anyone!) but since the previous phone was a cheap model was, I hoped for the best. NO! Even the base unit was filled with static electricity even 20 feet from the base! When I returned it the clerk mentioned that her last Uniden didn't work either - too much interference and she couldn't even make calls with it so she threw it away. Uniden used to be great, but not anymore.

Great phone! in office electronics

I was shocked by all the bad reviews for this phone! I bought this set 5 years ago and have never had a problem with any of the phones. A new battery is required but that is after 5 years of use. First I used it as a regular phone, for the last 3 years I have used it with Magic Jack. I've spoken to people all over the world on these phones and never had any problems with the sound quality. I can walk around the house and go outside with no problems. One of them sits next to my computer, the…
