Okay, I wanted to give this camera a couple of weeks before reviewing it. I love it. I'm transitioning from Canon cine cameras (I still own a couple) and wanted something in a smaller form factor. It can be cumbersome to lug around the C100 gear (nice pics but cumbersome) so I gave the GH5S a try. I'm not a big fan of the color science of the original GH5. Skin tones look very orange (in my opinion), but the GH5S looks more natural. After adding the MB .71 adapter and Canon 24-105 (which becomes 30-135 2.8 with IS) I'm completely satisfied. The color science on this camera is excellent and the in-camera 4K 60p or 1080p 4:2:2 resolution is simply amazing. V-Log is already installed which is another bonus. Honestly? I still feel like I have a lot to learn with this camera but so far I'm very happy with it and it's giving me great pictures. If I need a stabilizer, I use Ronin or Zhiyun Crane, a monopod, or a stabilized lens. For me, color science and low-light skills are more important, and it's like using other cinema cameras. Panasonic installed. 2 thumbs up.
