Problems but amazing

This little fan is amazing! The bottom section is about 12 inches from the ceiling and 18 inches wide. I have this in my 10' x 14' home office/home yoga studio with 7' ceilings and sloped ceilings in the corners so it's a pretty cramped space. I needed something incredibly small so people could walk under it without crouching and so I wouldn't bang my hands on the blades while doing yoga. I also needed something strong because the windows face west and it gets hot in the room. With a fan on level 6 it's like living in a tornado. Level 1 is enough air to sit at the table. It's incredibly powerful. It's almost silent, which is ideal for meetings. The entire box it came in weighed 7 pounds, so the fan itself is very light. Installation was difficult. The instructions aren't great, but my dad and I have installed many, many ceiling fans over the years. Assembling the fan is fairly intuitive, but assembling it is tricky. The base plate that attaches to the lightbox uses 3 attachment points, but most lightboxes in the US only have 2. Sorry I don't have pictures to help, but if you have a drill you can do it. We drilled new holes in the base plate and reinforced it with washers and heavier bolts. The bottom plate has rubber feet to prevent noise and wobble. This is a good feature. You can tell the fan is overseas as it has a DC motor but comes with a power adapter for US use. It's really very elegant. The light quality is disgusting. It's a sickly blue/cold light and INCREDIBLY bright. I turn off the light and use a table lamp. I can add some tinted window film to soften the tone. Overall I would highly recommend unless this is the first light you have installed. This can be difficult for people who are not very comfortable. However, if you are confident that you can make small adjustments, that's really great.
