Can't tell if this machine is working well

I have allergies and have two cats and two dogs at home. I figured that buying it and placing it in my master bedroom might help with the constipation I suffer from every night. I hesitated to buy because of the price. It's been a few months and I haven't noticed a difference. I still get blown away at night and basically feel like I just bought an expensive night light. Very disappointed.
