They are so easy to install. The 2x4 fits perfectly over, in the middle and under these alcoves. I have built many alcoves locally but decided to purchase them to reduce leak points. The shelves are tapered so there is no need to oil the tiles to ensure adequate drape. I installed 2 of these in about 10 minutes and they are ready to tile whenever you are! I decided to install them with a small shelf underneath. They are very durable and countersunk holes make screw installation painless. I took the tile stone and rubbed down the seam burrs during production but that wasn't a big deal and I think it would have been fine if I hadn't gone that far. It took a maximum of 10 minutes. worth your money!
