Review on Drive Adapter Cable Support UASP 20Cm by Pedro Movie

I bought this adapter to format and partition a new hard drive to replace a failed hard drive on my Linux workstation. I've thought about connecting the drive directly to my motherboard's SATA port and power supply, but I've always wanted one so I thought I'd give it a try. I simply plugged the adapter into the drive and then plugged in the adapter's power supply and then plugged it into the front USB3.0 port of my PC after booting from the live USB setup. The drive was recognized like any other USB drive. Disk Utility and GParted showed the drive as unformatted and unallocated. Using bad blocks showed that the new disk was fine, then I used GParted to assign, format, the partitions (which I fixed via e2fsck and badblocks - bad sectors are saved, hence this operation) to the new disk and to clone. All of these operations went great within the 8 hour testing and cloning time (and while playing apps on my phone - lol). One thing I noticed, and I think it's typical of thumb drives, is the lack of access to SMART data on the drive. After checking the drive one last time, then connecting it to my PC via SATA and rebooting to the live USB install, I was able to see that the SMART data is fine (which showed me that the drive is indeed was a new drive, luckily not repaired or anything). The system booted up and the adapter was packed for another Saving the Day moment!
