As advertised for my opinion

This shelving unit is more or less as advertised. Note that the split rail design links at one of the shelves, so it isn't easily separated after construction. A mallet is not strictly necessary for assembly if you are willing to whack the shelves into place with the palm of your hand, but it would probably have come in handy.

Smooth surface for easy cleaning and maintenance

The unit cannot be disassembled for more compact storage
