ADVANTAGES: 1. The salt shaker is strong, two well-sized compartments. 2. The lock also works great. 3. Outer finish is nice and smooth. CONS: When I opened the box (inside) there was a smell of old oils. Just washing with soapy water didn't help. I had to soak it in soapy water overnight, then scrub with a stiff brush and lots of soap in hot water and let dry. The smell subsided significantly, I poured salt and closed it. When I opened it the next morning the smell, although faint, was still there. Leave it open for a few days and see if it goes away completely. 2. The box came in a different color than expected. They are a nice dark gray in the picture on Revain but mine is a very light grey, the lid has marble veins but the box itself is almost white/silver white. A little disappointed but I won't be going back as there is no guarantee I'll get the color I want next time. ): If you're not that picky about color and don't mind working on getting rid of the smell, the box does the job just fine.
