Bought as a cheap alternative to some other big brands. First I had to spend the extra money because although it went to the spare wheel/tire holder in the back of my jeep it would have saved me a headache. The metal is cheap. First. It was the softest aluminum I've ever seen. None of the grommets provided matched the threads I needed, ok no big deal I'll cut them out and put in new ones. which had the themes I needed. After knocking out each stud, I found other studs that I literally welded to JB, "Remember, the spare wheel carrier isn't used on a real car." After that, the adapters looked like they'd survived a war . They scratch and scrape as easily as if they were made of lead. Eventually they did, but from that point on, it's either Spidertrax or nothing.
