Ordered out of curiosity. I needed a way to remove waterproof mascara and 24 hour matte lipstick. Both can be difficult at the end of the day. I'm so happy to report that it actually worked! The instructions on the back of the bottle are in Japanese. I didn't use mine as advertised. I pumped some clear gel into my hand and applied it to my face. I immediately saw that the makeup just melted under the gel. Then I took a soft cloth and wiped my makeup off instead of rinsing my face. This is my shower routine. Wipe off makeup, then wash your face in the shower. The gel removes mascara, all-day lipstick and some dark red eyeshadow with ease. Then I got in the shower and rinsed my face off before washing my face. My skin became soft and smooth. I will try this toner when I wear lighter makeup. Today's makeup was heavy and I wanted to see if this gel-oil could handle it and the gel did. The aroma is very light. Clean. But it's very, very light, so if you're sensitive to smells, you won't be offended or bothered by the smell. Five stars because nothing removed my favorite mascara very well and this gel did the trick. I'm happy!
