Review on Unbeatable All Seasons Washable Reusable Adjustable Shield - Maximum Protection Guaranteed! by Robert Hayes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Happy with the product, wish the filters had locking holes from the factory

Of all the face coverings I've tried, the gaiters are by far the most comfortable and protect my nose/lips from the sun really well. Unfortunately, studies have shown that at least single-layer gaiters do little to protect others from you and you from others compared to other solutions. Do not you believe? Try putting on leg warmers and dyeing some white. I ended up with more spray paint on my nose than I expected. The Slick Gaiter was one of the few layered/reusable filter gaiters I could find. It's a bit harder to breathe through them than single layer leggings, but that's only because they have more material. My previous leggings lost their "stretch" after a few washes, so I think it's a good idea to at least add a drawstring at the top. Overall the items are well made and I appreciate their instructions on making your own filters (and material safety caveats). As other reviewers have pointed out, the filters slide off. To prevent this, they had to drill holes in the terry filter cloth. I punched holes in mine and that seems to have fixed the problem. I'm not a big fan of huge logos on my clothes, I wish the "Slick Gaiter" logo wasn't that big either. Another improvement I'd like to see is the ability to rip off the elastic cords at the event. getting stuck in a spinning machine at work or stuck in a low-hanging branch while cycling. As I'm going to breathe this through, I figured it would take some diligence to find information about a product/company I had never heard of before. Here's what I found: LUXEAVANT INNOVATIONS released two products. They started with Slick Collar and have now developed Slick Gaiter (and maybe soon Gaiter Mouth?). In fact, they don't appear to be from Vancouver, British Columbia. "Slick Gaiter" has a website and the 4 people on the "Team/Who We" page appear to be real people, not pictures uploaded by some shady company. Ross Seyed has a YouTube video about Slick Gaiter on the "Slick Collar" YouTube channel. Behzad Gods and Ross both participate in the episode Dragon's Lair to introduce Smooth Collar to her. The current description has a bullet point stating that it is "Designed and Tested in Canada". In order to be completely transparent to customers, "Made in China" follows these words. What does "Tested in Canada" even mean? Checked during development? Are all these socks tested when they come back from the factory in China? I rate them 4/5 stars. If the filter didn't slip without mods, it would definitely get 5 stars from me.
