Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor Jak ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A normal product, however, does not fully match the description.

Why Goodyear Ice Arctic? Because earlier the 500th UGs were on the car (which is important - Hergeshtellt in Deutschland), they drove great, but everything comes to an end, so I decided to choose also a directional pattern from the same manufacturer. Auto - Mitsubishi Carisma, 1.6 for 103 l / s. Front wheel drive, weight 1500 +\-. Wheels chose 195 \ 65 \ 15. I can change the tires in the very snow, because there is more than one car in the family, I leave it for dessert)) I bought it at the end of 2022, put it on disks, they balanced well (and later every year the balance was normal). The 2022-2022 season was run in, the mileage there was small, 5 thousand. According to its results, I lost 2 spikes on both front wheels and 5 licked off. The 2022-2022 season has already been driving more or less actively, but without sharp starts and skidding brakes (although this would not have happened anyway, because of the ABS). The result is more deplorable - 15-20 spikes were licked from each front minimum. Mileage closer to 10. Season 2022-2022 (spoiler - the most interesting). I installed the tires almost in mid-November, because the snow decided to go on vacation that year, and the temperatures allowed driving while still in the summer. At the end of December, before a trip to Udmurtia (for 700 km), I decided to check the car. And I was surprised, because on the front wheels was! 1! spike only on the left O_o. For a month and a half licked all the remnants of the spikes from the front! Before the trip itself, I got wrapped up and did not have time to throw the rubber, so I drove as it is. After the return trip, I found a "bonus" - a hernia on the rear wheel along the seam of gluing the wheel quarters. And this is provided that he was driving on tracks without holes. Mileage at that time was about 3000 km. Therefore, the idea of \u200b\u200btossing the still spiked back to the front is no longer suitable. As a result, now I’ve been riding Velcro all year round since the fall of 2022. In the summer I didn’t feel that I was swimming much, the 2022-2022 season also left the rules, but with the understanding that the grip was bad in front. This fall I will change 100%. If the Goodyears are Polish again, I won't take it. PS The majority of those who ride this rubber have seen precisely licked spikes. And there are almost no spikes.

Pros
  • Working on ice (when the spikes are in place) tractor properties on snow (both with and without studs), but slightly worse than UG500 wear resistance Good balance
Cons
  • The most active loss of spikes even under the condition of running. Like Velcro and on ice - cow format on the same ice Sudden hernia out of the blue Maid in Poland
