I connected this to the USB cable and now the fans turn on from my PS4 which is great. I used the same USB cable for power.
My entertainment center fans are on because my PS4 was overheating. The fans ran all the time, but I really didn't want them running all the time. I connected it to the USB cable and now the fans turn on from my PS4 which is great. I used the same USB cable for both power and signal, although the USB only runs on 5V it was able to provide power and close the relay.
