It's not a terrible makeup starter kit, but it's not the best either. The individual parts are pretty cheap overall, and the sheer amount of material included makes it intimidating, especially for beginners. And yet it is definitely aimed at laypeople. Quality is mostly average, but then again, there's a lot here, and some are better than others. Certain types of makeup (concealer, foundation) are presented here only for certain skin tones, so they may not be worn by everyone. There's an eyeshadow palette with twenty-four regular colors (plus a few sparkles), which is great, but each eyeshadow jar is so small there aren't many. They are almost the size of a sample. The big problem with this set is the confusion over who it's for. It doesn't have the youthful or playful design it might have if it were for young teens or teenage girls, but most of the products aren't very high quality, so not exactly what a grown woman needs.
