Review on StarTech.com USB 3.0 to DisplayPort Adapter 4K Ultra HD, DisplayLink Certified, External Graphics Card - Mac & Windows (USB32DP4K), Black by Buddy Colbert

I bought it to work with my M1 MacBook so that I can use a second external display. It works fine for that, but it gets hot enough that it's a concern. This is a 24-inch DELL panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz. I returned it for a Thunderbolt dock of the plugable brand, which has USB-C PD and DisplayLink and runs much cooler (at least externally ). In order to say it clearly, I used Startech products beforehand and never had problems, and the heat that arises may not be a problem. However, I just don't feel comfortable for a long-term solution.
