I bought this as a bluetooth speaker specifically for my bathroom. Yes, I'm a music lover and I enjoy making my nursing station more productive by using the time to listen to audiobooks and podcasts. I listen to music, but less than a third of the time, so I figured two small internal subwoofers would be more than enough. But I had the chance to compare it to a slightly (33%) more expensive soundbar with subwoofer, and it turns out they didn't measure up. The sound of a person speaking is fuller and more real, like someone standing in the room with me. While this Hyasia soundbar was perfectly adequate for the task, it sounded drier and harsher, as if the speaker wasn't using a pop filter on the microphone. So far, so good. As I mounted it directly to the wall, I really liked that it came with wall anchors and drywall screws - I don't think many soundbars will fit, if they can even be wall mounted. The remote had the nice feature of being able to control any app my phone was using via Bluetooth, although this seems to be a common feature and the remote itself should be pointing directly at the soundbar. One thing that might be unique, though, is that it has a play button on the soundbar itself, which saves me having to fumble for the remote or my phone when I want it to start playing from the last audio application , that I had . constantly. While making direct comparisons, I also played music on it. The difference in quality was pretty extreme. I'm just saying that even if you only intend to use it for TV or movies only, you'll absolutely notice the difference once the score starts playing. And if you ever use it for music, like I did, stop reading this now and look for an established soundbar with a subwoofer (like my new 36-inch Vizio). The reason I bought a new soundbar wasn't for the sound quality (I didn't know what I was missing at the time) - it was some issues that I realized after a couple of weeks that can't live with. The first problem was that about 10% of the time, after plugging in and playing the podcast, there was no sound. The only solution was to restart the soundbar and hope it doesn't happen again. But even this was only a sporadic problem. The bigger and fairly constant problem was that no matter which input I used, there was a constant high-pitched buzz. It's not particularly loud, but it filled every moment of silence, and I suspect this can't be a defect but a design flaw. If you're a music lover or listen at a lower volume, I strongly recommend spending a little more money and going for a more well-known and experienced brand.
