Must assume the one star rating below is due to a serious measurement issue. I've been using Maracyn Two (minocycline) for decades and it's literally a panacea. It is strongly recommended to use it prophylactically on new colonies in the aquarium - a regimen of Maracyn Two prior to introduction will virtually eliminate the death of sensitive species. Aside from being the only cure for dropsy I've found in cyclids, it appears to be a powerful antidote to the negative effects of stress on fish. I don't use or need anything else for routine fish keeping.
