Many of the low star reviews I've read on here have complained of two things: hard straps; they don't "snap" or are difficult to remove etc. For those who can't remember because it's probably been a few months, Fitbit straps are very stiff at first and will stretch over time. Compare the new Fitbit strap to the old one and you'll see a stretch of 1/8 inch or more on each side. They feel and look exactly like a NEW Fitbit band, so I'm guessing they'll stretch over time too. They are very comfortable. As for the other complaint about the hooks. They're different. The Fitbit hooks feel like plastic. They are metallic in nature. To put them on easily, just press the metal part. They then "snap in" slightly. The same applies to their removal. They fit snugly and can be safely removed without damaging the tracker. I've only been wearing them for a few days, so I can't comment on allergies. The strap buckle is the same material as the Fitbit straps, so I'm not expecting an allergic reaction to this part. I'm a little worried about the part that sticks to the tracker. It looks metallic and can come into contact with the skin. I have very sensitive skin. I have to be very careful with makeup, sunscreen, earrings and other jewelry (I can't even wear earrings!). I'll update if I ever have a reaction as I wear them 24/7. :) In short, they're almost the same size as the Fitbit Charge 2 Band, just MUCH cheaper! I bought them through Prime and they arrived in two days. I love her!
