Review on Revamped Sony Alpha a6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera: 24.3MP SLR Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD and Power Zoom Lens by Anastazja Bondarenko ᠌

It's not quite what I expected, overall it's ok.

I would like to see the A6000 priced between 20 and 22 sput. The camera is currently even a little bit more expensive than higher-end mirrorless cameras. Thus, if you simply enjoy Sony products in all of their forms, you are free to disregard my evaluation, pick up a camera, and rejoice that it captures images much better than any phone. An unbiased evaluation of the A6000 in relation to its cost for everyone else. As a result, the characteristic that causes all mirrorless cameras—not just Sony ones—to focus slowly and blur in low light is present in all Sony models. Earlier, this might be explained by the characteristics of contrast autofocus, but Sony claims the a6000 has a hybrid AF. I was initially excited to learn about it, so I made the decision to see how well it functions right away. I position the off Vita in front of me and direct my attention to the screen. Because the focus cannot be maintained for an extended period of time, it is not induced. My Fujifilm camera, which likewise has a hybrid focus, gently aims. Sony continues to emphasize contrast autofocus, therefore it is unclear how precisely phase sensors are engaged in this. In general, I was unable to assess the benefits of a dual emphasis. The amount of noise at ISO 6400 and higher also gave me pause. The details suffers as a result of the built-in noise reduction fighting them. As a result, you must shoot in RAW and process practically all of your images with Lightroom. I compared RAWs taken with the Olympus E-M10, Fujifilm X-T1, and A6000 according to ISO. Less fuji is present on the Olympus (which, by the way, has a smaller matrix). Well, the third factor—assembling a group of professional—prevents us from endorsing the A6000 for business use. E-mount lenses are still challenging; I suggest keeping an eye on the SEL35F18 and SEL50F18. Currently, there are no professional-grade zooms available. Hence, if you already own a compact crop DSLR and a 17-55mm zoom lens, going to the A6000 with fixed will not provide in any advantages for you in terms of price, kit compactness, or final product quality.

Pros
  • good flip-up screen and an electronic viewfinder a wide-angle lens is present a lot of amateur lens options Wi-Fi module and a practical menu with adequate detail and video quality
Cons
  • Embarrassing color noise at high ISO In dusk, focus is unclear "Soft" colors common for Sony cameras - I usually always make them more juicy in post-processing, including adding saturation and contrast Personally, I see this as more of a drawback.
