This fan control is not reliable and will probably only be replaced by a switch on the dashboard. Use this fan controller in a high performance race car where the ECM will not turn on the fans until 225F which is too hot. Set the thermostat to 160°F and this fan controller to turn the fans on at 180°F at maximum power, but sometimes it wouldn't turn on (even with a sensor temperature of 200°F) and you had to turn the ignition on - and turn off to achieve them work. Very disappointed with the operation.
