I assumed, as do most people who have returned items they have purchased, that my apartment's air was dirty and needed to be cleaned. As soon as I turned on the machine, I could tell that the air in my house was safe to breathe. And yet. There was a lot of dust in the flat, even though the door was closed and the room was sealed off from the rest of the apartment. Nasal and throat congestion upon waking. I figured an air purifier would relieve me of the monotony of daily housekeeping, so I made the investment. But no. Even after being exposed to light, the dust has not stopped freely floating and circling. The following day, when everything was tidy and I had the day off to make necessary repairs, I decided to give the gadget a runaround in several rooms, including the kitchen. The end outcome is essentially the same worldwide. There are homegrown flowers in the kitchen; the index of air purity increased somewhat due to their fragrance (to 030), but this is still well within the range of permissible values and is perhaps excellent. I then struck a match. After 30 seconds, the apparatus began making a noise similar to a vacuum. The air quality indicator rose to the red and then to around 300. It went back down to zero after 20 minutes after rising to 020 inside the first minute or two. The final score is 3 points, as there were 3 positives and 2 negatives. I have no idea what this gadget is supposed to perform. A vacuum cleaner and a damp mop are your best weapons against dust. Maybe the air is particularly bad in some parts of Hong Kong, or maybe in homes near the industrial zone, but if you live in a place with a healthy ecosystem, you don't need this. It functions as a filter fan, basically. That's the mechanism behind this air cleaner. Perhaps this would come in handy if you and your roommate shared a studio and one of you became ill. It's more cost-effective to avoid kissing, wash your hands frequently, and wear a mask. And yet, the cost of the filters is $3,000. The price is too high for a fan. Paid for on the Internet Market. You can safely return. In my opinion, the trendiness of this item will wane in a few years, or they will be upgraded.
