The illustration is somewhat misleading.
First of all, yes they definitely darken the room (at least the dark gray ones). Unfortunately, they insulate poorly against the heat compared to multi-layer curtains. One of the illustrations of this product (and, to be fair, some of the other so-called "thermal curtains") shows three layers. Here there is only one. It is quite thick (I think that's what they mean by "triple weave"). But that's only one layer and not enough to adequately block the heat of direct sunlight like our other curtains do.
- DETAILS OF THE SET: 2 dark gray curtains in a package with 2 tiebacks as a gift. Each panel measures 42" wide x 63" long with 6 silver metal grommets (1.6" ID) on top, easy to install and slide open.
