For some reason the shape of this TIG pen is easier to handle and use than other 'slim' design TIG pens. With this design, you can hold the rod better and feed the rod more easily. I noticed that my fingers and hand didn't cramp and that I had more control over the situation. The tool has a screw that allows you to adjust the tension of the bar. The tension setting is easy to understand and use. Although I think it looks a bit unusual, I've had good welding experiences with this tool.
