Extremely easy set up, less than 10 minutes. I put one of those super soft blankets on the bottom and my cat loved it. (I'll say she wasn't interested until I put the blanket away - so just make sure you can put something in that isn't too big). I've spent over $50/60 on one of those fancy wooly cat caves and every night she prefers this cardboard box to the wooly cave. Since a cat should always have at least one box, it's good not to have to look at solid brown, which is a really horrible eyesore. I would definitely recommend this if your cat likes a box to hide in, especially if you hate the look of a random brown box here and there.
