The tip of the Surface Pro pen breaks quite easily. The tip of the nib is encased in a small plastic sheath and if you squeeze it too hard while noting, as I often do, it will break, resulting in a very inaccurate pen. These replacement tips are easy to install and I keep them in my backpack to swap out every few months if they break!
