Review on Imitation Ebony Edwin Jagger Best Badger πŸͺ’ Shaving Brush with Drip Stand - Medium, Black by Andrew Hare

I'm new to this field.

My opinion should be treated with suspicion. I recently went "old school" and bought this item along with a double blade razor (Merkur Heavy Duty) and Proraso soap. I'm still learning how to maximize foam. I lathered up my palm and then applied it to my face as the brush seemed to irritate my face a bit. Nothing special, but my face would be redder after shaving if I applied the foam directly to my face with a brush instead of lathering it onto my palms and then applying by hand. Maybe the bristles are too hard and I should have gone with a softer brush, but I didn't know. I also have a technical issue with the stand. Notice in the picture that the stand holds the brush where the bristles enter the handle. Returning the brush to the stand will always result in a pair of bristles squeezing or moving. This will surely cause the outer edges of the brush to lose their shape over time, or even some of the bristles to break over time. I think it would be better if the stand was higher and the brush hangs at the top of the handle so the bristles are intact. Otherwise I'm really enjoying the experience. That's a nice morning ritual.
