The backlit screen is very useful when reading temperatures at night. With the side buttons you can recall up to 50 measurements and switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit mode. I can absolutely recommend this product. It looked like a quality device and felt very comfortable in my hand. It was nice to be able to take the temperature without touching the body. I had never used this type of thermometer before and couldn't believe how quickly it took the temperature. I like the backlit display which is easy to read and the gauge that tells you if the temperature is within acceptable range.
