🟥One of the first things you will notice is that it comes without instructions and on the box. Although the basic operations here are quite straightforward and simple. 🟥If the listing didn't state that it was a 3D powered device, I wouldn't have batteries ready for it. Be prepared to get plenty of rechargeable D-cell batteries if you use them frequently. For this price point, I'd like to see built-in rechargeable batteries, perhaps with the added option of using D-cells instead. mode?), and the device can only work with the insect repellent indicator on, with only one of the four flashlight modes, or a combination of these (for how long can it work just as a debugger? and how much less time can it work if you constantly use both functions at the same time use?). I got this primarily as a bug killer as I don't intend to keep any flashlight modes on so later in this review I can detail the total run time for bugs only a small UPC description of "Blazin LED Bug Zapper LS- 46Hrs W Waterproof New". This device is certainly not waterproof and at most will withstand accidental splashes on the mesh. When I first received the unit, I put in 3 brand new D batteries and screwed the base on. I quickly tried each mode and then left it on with only the bug repellent (below) on and the flashlight options off. I placed this unit on my patio railing and let it run continuously outdoors. After 24 hours of work, 48 of the same, 72 of the same and somewhere between 89 and 98 hours it stopped working. During this time it then rained on two of those days, could never stand in still water, but kept walking in the rain. At first I thought it works fine and that's about all you can get before the batteries get too low to keep it going. I made a video (in the attached file showing how many bugs he killed in that time). It wasn't until I went to troubleshoot that I realized there was a more serious problem with the device. When I tilted the device (while blowing the bugs) water suddenly started pouring out, and this continued as I rotated and tilted it. I removed the bottom cover and it was filled with water and one of the battery contacts had already started to rust. I blew up the inside, contacts, batteries etc. I brought the batteries in and tested them and they were all "low limit". When I put it back in the flashlight all the functions still worked (using the same batteries) and I left it running in the same mode as before where it continued to work for several days and actually still works (ie when it works eventually not anymore because the original battery pack is actually running out of juice, I will update this)🟥 No mains cleaning brush is included. Compressed air can only clean so much, and a brush is needed. The device is also not safe to flush the mesh with water (but other devices that can usually report it). This device is adequate (if you have a lot of rechargeable D-cells, especially if you want to use flashlight functions as well. However, at this price point, I expect even more from this device (requires really reasonable weather resistance, I accept limited mains cut-off voltage in exchange for long run time, but there are many rechargeable alternatives at comparable or lower cost)
