I like it, thanks for the quality product.

70D came out. There's magic autofocus for video. And it seems like with iso the situation is a little better. Videographers - definitely switch to 70D. And for the photographer . not for me to judge.
And so I’m waiting for a dream, a really GREAT DREAM - FF with magical autofocus, like in 70D, with ISO, like in 6D, with a swivel screen, like in 60D, and a normal headphone output to hear online what is written there. That's when Kanon makes such a contraption . that's when there will be REAL HAPPINESS.

Pros

Took only for video filming. From this point of view, I will tell you. Of course, this is not a camcorder. But the picture quality, natural color reproduction, the ability to put different lenses, the dynamic range of the matrix make it possible to use it for LOW-BUDGING professional video shooting, which I successfully do. After the Sony FX-1 (semi-pro camcorder) I felt like with him. Well, almost a director, not just a video hacker. A swivel display for video is a must. I calmly shoot from the floor and from above. There is a 50p mode - which is good for slowdowns. But it's not FULL HD. And its quality looks a lot like a video camera. Three batteries are enough for the wedding (native and two - a good non-original). This is a good result. To clients, the picture from it seems VERY GOOD. (But they don't know there is another Mark 3 which is better :-) There is an alternative firmware that makes this device one and a half times more expensive (Magic Lantern), while it is free.

Cons

1. Focus ONLY manual! Looking at the display, you focus on the eye. Often mistaken, especially after several hours of continuous shooting. 2. The display is illuminated by the sun. You have to close the aperture, increasing the depth of field, or rely on a miracle, or you need a special screen. 3. ISO! There is a catastrophic shortage of ISO workers. 1000 for video is already of little use. Noises in the gloomy banquet halls are clearly visible. And the darker the corner, the more noise there is. On-camera lamps help out only partially. Because they do not take the entire area of the frame anyway. I also use extra. spotlight. But I don't have an assistant! I don't always have time to change it. And guests sometimes want to stay in the twilight. In general, things are bad here. f2.8 lenses are not enough. Here you need aperture 1.4. And this is no longer a LOW-BUDGET video. 4. Sound. Without alternative firmware, you cannot control the sound recording level. Stereo recording only through external devices. I write on a dictaphone, and from a dictaphone I duplicate in a fotik. 5. A means of stabilizing the camera is required. Starting from a tripod ending with sliders and taps. Hand-held - only with proper skill and experience, provided that you use a lens with a stabilizer. 6. Only a creative and professional approach to filming is required. Lazy and slow to work with him! For them, there are conventional semi-video cameras. Frequent lens changes are required to capture diverse shots. Accordingly, there is a risk of breaking the lens or spoiling the insides of the device. Ideal shooting on this fotik - at least two cameras.
