I bought these after being disappointed with Keen hiking sandals. (My sister has Keens and loves them for hiking!) Given my 12 foot width in women's running shoes, I can usually wear a regular size 10. It was only *after* I bought Keens ($100) that I found that their women's shoes were a size 10 and didn't fit me. So I was struggling to bring hiking sandals for vacation, which would be, shall we say, cheaper? I was so suspicious of their sizing chart, but after reading the reviews I bit the proverbial bullet and accidentally ended up with a size 9 (which IMO aligns with a size 41 EU). They fit perfectly! I could use them on hikes with little break in time and they were great at traction on rocky and muddy creek beds (aka washed out trails). (My hiking friends were even a little jealous of how easily I navigated muddy trails!) I've since started using them for hiking local waterfall trails as well. I love that they rinse off so easily and dry quickly.
